As Women of Tomorrow’s Program Coordinator for Miami-Dade County Public Schools, Pam Edwards oversees the successful implementation of the Women of Tomorrow Mentor & Scholarship Program in 54 senior high and alternative schools serving close to 1,200 at-risk girls across Miami Dade County. Program activities include mentoring sessions, career-focused fieldtrips, college campus visits, performing arts activities and tours, etiquette training. Pam also coordinates the beginning of the year Orientations and Kick-off events for Miami-Dade County, participates in the WOT Annual Gala and co-coordinates the Annual Graduation Luncheon.
Pam started with the Women of Tomorrow in November 1999 and is a Career Specialist with Miami Dade County Public School System. At that time, WOT was implemented in five schools within Miami Dade County and one school in Broward County and now operates in every public high school in Miami-Dade County. During her tenure at Women of Tomorrow, Pam has helped establish and develop numerous partnerships with various local businesses, organizations, colleges and universities
As a partner with the Miami Dade Public Schools College Assistance Program (CAP) Pam is a Certified Teacher and has provided WOT students with additional scholarship information and is involved in several extra incentives for Women of Tomorrow girls.
Pam is an alumnus of Miami Dade Community College and Barry University, in which she received her undergraduate degree in Administrative Studies, majoring in Banking and Finance. Pam is a Miami native and is married to Robert Edwards and has three children and 11 grandchildren.
