On May 14, 2013, financial services firm BTIG successfully raised over $4 million by hosting athletes and celebrities to help raise money for multiple children’s charities including Women of Tomorrow Mentor & Scholarship Program.

Read more »Sun Sentinel: Spring Campaign Provides Nourishment for Children in Broward County | 05/14/13
With matching funds multiplying donations, the Spring Campaign's launch is planting the seeds for local children to have a chance at a healthier and brighter future. The Sun Sentinel Children's Fund, a McCormick Foundation Fund, has kicked off its first-ever Spring Campaign to raise funds to support local nonprofits that help children and families reach self-sufficiency by offering year-round educational programs, providing nutritious meals and housing, and supporting child abuse prevention and treatment programs. All donations to the Spring Campaign are matched by the McCormick Foundation at 50 cents on the dollar, and the Sun Sentinel and the foundation pay all administrative expenses, so 100 percent of every donation, plus the match, is granted to the local community.

We would like to congratulate our Women of Tomorrow Mentees from John A. Ferguson High School for their compassion and dedication to helping those in need. Last week, the Director of Friends of the Orphans, Faces of Hope served as a guest speaker at the John A. Ferguson mentoring session, where our Mentees became so moved by the stories of the orphaned children that they asked to sacrifice their field-trip opportunity to instead volunteer at the Faces of Hope Luncheon.
