Nancy B. Colman joined Baritz and Colman LLP. in May 2000 as a partner. Prior to joining Baritz & Colman LLP., Ms. Colman was a partner with Quarles & Brady, LLP, a prestigious national law firm.
Ms. Colman’s practice areas include general business/corporate law, commercial and residential real estate, commercial and construction lending, secured transactions, bankruptcy, homeowner’s association law, litigation consulting and mediation.
Ms. Colman’s business/corporate practice focuses on the drafting of initial corporate formation documents, negotiation and drafting of all types of business agreements (i.e. partnership and operating agreements), reviewing, negotiation and drafting of vendor contracts and employment agreements, buy/sell contracts and the like.
The scope of Ms. Colman’s real estate expertise encompasses a wide spectrum including but not limited to representing clients in purchasing and selling of commercial properties, development of property and acquisition financing, representation of lenders in commercial and construction financing transactions, foreclosure/workouts and title insurance. Ms. Colman also represents parties in the purchase and sale of residential property.
Prior to focusing her practice on strictly transactional matters, Ms. Colman was a litigator for ten (10) years. Her litigation practice involved handling business, commercial and real estate disputes. This litigation experience gives Ms. Colman a unique perspective when representing either individual clients, corporate clients or lenders.
Ms. Colman graduated from the University of Miami School of Law in 1987 and the University of Colorado in 1984. She is a member of the Florida Bar and the Palm Beach County and American Bar Associations. Ms. Colman is admitted to practice in the State Courts of Florida, the U.S. Districts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit.
