Dozens of participants in Women of Tomorrow - a mentoring and scholarship program designed to enhance and enrich the lives of young women in the public school system - attended a special career day at St. Thomas University on Dec. 7.

They heard presentations by faculty in the departments of Science, Religious Studies, and Psychology and by representatives from the law school. The highlight came when WPLG-ABC 10 anchor and Women of Tomorrow mentor Neki Mohan gave the keynote address, encouraging the young women to make their dreams come true by staying true to themselves and never forgetting their goals.

The Women of Tomorrow Career Day, spearheaded by Beatriz Robinson and coordinated by Enrollment Dean Lydia Amy, has become an annual event at St. Thomas, offering participants an opportunity to get first-hand experience in the higher education and show them a degree is within their reach.
